A Special Interview with the Authors of Best Paper (Ⅱ)

"Hepatoma Research 2018-2020 Best Papers Awards" was announced on May 26, 2022. The article "Molecular links between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and hepatocellular carcinoma", presented by Dr. Rohit A. Sinha's team won the First Prize. Congratulations to the authors!

On June 22, 2022, the Editorial Office was delighted and honored to have a special interview with the team representative, Dr. Rohit A. Sinha, the Head of Rohit Anthony Sinha's Lab, Department of Endocrinology, Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India, and Dr. Sana Raza, Young Scientist at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow, India, to talk about their winning article. Meanwhile, we are honored to invite our Junior Editorial Board Member Dr. Divya P Kumar, from Department of Biochemistry, JSS Medical College, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research, Mysore, Karnataka, India to join this interview as the interviewer and have a communication together.

Questions:

Q1. Could you please explain the proportion of NASH associated HCC across the globe and briefly shed light on the reasons for it?

Q2. Could you please explain about life style interventions that may be of helpful as a preventive strategy in NASH-HCC?

Q3. HCC develops in patients without NASH-cirrhosis also, so how do you explain this and how patients can be screened under such circumstances?

Q4. Could you please explain the association of bile acid metabolism and NASH associated HCC?

Q5. Could you please share your thoughts on the use of Aspirin and anti-diabetic drugs that have demonstrated preventive effect on HCC development in NASH?
