Initial Editorial Board Meeting of Hepatoma Research Held in New Orleans, 2016

In accordance with the AACR Annual Meeting 2016, Hepatoma Research (HR) held its very initial Editorial Board meeting on April 17, 2016 at the Antoine's Restaurant located at Wendy Chatelain, Derrick Roberts, 713 St. New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. The attendees included HR Editor-in-Chief Prof. Joseph F. Buell, Surgical Academician of the American Academy; Editorial Board members, Dr. M. Waheed Roomi, Dr. Lynn G. Feun, Dr. Amr Amin, Dr. Hyun S. Kim; HR Managing Editor Ms. Dandan Yu; and Director of OAE Publishing Inc., Mr. Min-Fan. The event began by 7 pm with a brief welcome address by Prof. Joseph F. Buell. Prof. Buell briefed the attendees that HR had published close to 40 outstanding high-quality manuscripts since its inception. He profusely thanked the associate editors, editorial board members, reviewers, director, managing editor, and the editorial staff for their valuable contribution towards the success of HR within the short span of a year. During the course of the delectable dinner, Prof. Buell solicited suggestions and ideas from the members regarding how to (1) increase the number of published high-quality articles per HR issue; (2) increase the visibility of HR to our reach community around the globe; and (3) attract outstanding high-quality manuscripts for publication consideration in HR. Dr. Feun agreed to be the guest editor of the special issue on "Novel Approaches for HCC." The members thanked for the CHINA SHADOW gift they received at the conclusion of the meeting.
